Romans 12:12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

Is suffering an event that only lives in someone else’s life?

Yesterday I felt so good but today I’m falling apart

It is almost like being blinded by great inner-strife

Why does pain sidetracks the longing of the heart?

Oh! Flesh and bone against true life in the very heart

Implying that survival here is really the only goal

At the expense of all who know me think I’m smart

And the patience of my wife as I moan and groan
