Hungry

Location

They come with empty eyes

that sullen look of loss

You can't tell their empty

and that they really need to be fed

Their parents are working overtime

and still can't put food on the table

They have too much pride

to even ask for help

That would shame them

and be as painful

as the empty stomach

that they are carrying around

They'd be happy with bread

and would never complain

as you try to change

their hunger

and help them keep their pride

You want to change the world

All you have to do is feed them
