Hungry Gretel

Hansel  and Gretel,

quite the pair,

but what if one just couldn't bare,

not eating that trail of delicious bread,

that had been ever so delicately spread

across the trail as they explored

the windy forest at their own accord?

Now as that witch approached them so,

they had no idea which way to go,

as Gretel pointed left and Hansel right,

their voices raised as they began to fight.

As they were now distracted,

the witch crept up and extracted

Hansel right from where he stood,

And Gretel reacted as anyone would.

She noticed the witch was made of candy

so this time her appetite came in handy,

as she gobbled the witch to save her brother

And they promised to never again go against each other.
