The Hungry Witch

An old hag sits in her creaking rocking chair (a)

Her stomach does begin to grumble (b)

As the cage in the corner has lay bare (a)

When her gingerbread ceiling began to crumble (b)

The old hag hobbled out the door to investigate (c)

Hansel and Gretel have wandered her way (d)

Although like a feather in weight (c) 

They would make a nice entree (d)

Inside she did lure them with thoughts of something sweet (e)

Only to lock Hansel and Gretel in a cage for a week (f)

To fatten them up she gives them something every 2 hours to eat (e)

After 7 days the hags hunger began to peak (f)

She enticed Gretel out of the cage and to the oven (g)

The young girl outsmarted the hag who bent over the hellfire (h)

Gretel pushed the hag and she was shut in (g)

Hansel and Gretel steal her treasure, run away and retire (h)
