The Hunter

The Hunter

Dried fall leaves crunch beneath her feet

Quiet.

She tiptoes, arrow notched, eyes alert

A beautiful stag grazes just before her

Artemis, the hunter.

She aims, hits her target, and yelps with joy in her thick Mississippian accent

Yeee! Naw that’s a deer fer ya!

Skinning and loading her kill, she packs away in her blood covered camo.

Artemis! The Hunter!
