Hunting for the Moon

In ancient times

The Gods were born,

They faded through the ages

Over eons they were slowly

Left behind.

They're not all gone

I know

I see the signs:

And Artemis lives on.

The Lady

She lives on

In every mortal girl

In every girl who rises with the dawn.

She's there,

At every hunt

Blessing each deer shot down

And guiding as we shoot.

The Lady's different now

Her spirit split

A million ways and more

A piece of her

In every maiden's heart

The piece that speaks of bravery and truth

Of freedom and rebellion

Of hunting in the woods under the moon.
