Hunting, Stalking

Hunting, stalking

Silent anticipation

Waiting, watching

Obsessive fixation

Remember last time

In the yard

The intruder got away

Not again

This time we win

Today will be the day

Ears perked

Nose up

Every breath is held

Not a move

To be made

This time he'll be expelled

Stealthy steps

Dog takes

Towards sweet victory

Life flashes

Before squirrel's eye

As it runs up the tree
