Huntington
Sitting in front of the waves that crash and turn as the tide changes
Came an over whelming stillness thunderous to my ears
Just stretches of ocean reflecting off my glossy eyes
The sun hid among the clouds that personally loomed over my head
Trying to go through the motions that weaved internally
While trying not to lose ground
No synonyms or words can even express the capacity of you
Memories come to view then quickly fade
Long embedded in my core
Now I am the lone keeper of all those golden nights
Those stumbling walks with our souls intoxicating the air around us
The late-night talks that started with the moon and ended with the sun carrying me to sleep
The cat and mouse game that was once us
Years passed since our final goodbye
The heart break lay quiet beneath the remains
Never to be shown to the world
The stars that night was amplified, and the air sliced my cheeks in the middle of July
This pain that dwells with in this vessel have overcome my simple thoughts
Swallowing me whole in moments of solitude
You were the first to show me what love was
I am forever indebted to you
