Hurdles

An obstacle purposefully put in your way,

full of pain and hard work to get it right.

But once you do,

through courage and strength,

you'll feel an overwhelming sense of 

accomplishment.

The rush and excitement you get is enough to make the worst day

the best. 

You work hard, 

push your limits,

take a leap,

and you prevail.

Over that hurdle, you jump,

into a future full of success and

broken records.

And then, just like life,

you miss a step.

Down you fall, with bruises and blood.

But like a warrior, 

you rise again,

off to break the records you set.
