The Hurt

You hurt me.

You tore at me like I was nothing.

The person that helped create me,

Looked at me

As if I was nothing.

I felt like nothing.

The way you made me feel.

The way you made me look.

Was like nothing.

You say you are my protector,

When the only protection I need

Is from you.

But I'm unsure,

I'm unsure of what I want to happen.

Do I try again for a relationship?

Or have I tried too much?

Not knowing the answer is to either question

Is what keeps me awake.

But does it keep you awake?

Does my hurting,

My crying,

My self doubt,

Does it keep you awake?
