Hurt

Living in a state of euphoria,
Time running away very quickly,

It was  like a phantasmagoria.

Love - a drug that slowly made me sickly,

A puppet to use until the next prey,

Threw me away when the colours faded,

Red changed into a painful blue and grey.

Looking at my hands … fully abraded,

Drink to ease the pain and get rid of fears,

Long sleeves to cover the scars that you left,

Memories that create a stream of tears.

Hey, how are you? I answer: still bereft.

Tears dry up and I can no longer cry,

Now, one last time I’ll go to sleep. Goodbye.
