Hurt

Gun smoke and residue replace the brain Insects burrow through my veins Too harsh a reminder of the pain God damn it man this has torn too long The need to find someone gone What feels right is so often wrong The future may bear new lies Though this is impossible to surmise While forever lost within those eyes Seek the peace now gone asunder By the hideousness of my blunder Never to obtain that lovely plunder Now only hurt remains As constant as the hurt in my veins- yet sporadic as the sanity of my brain
