hurt

You promised yourself you wouldn't fall easily,

You promised yourself that,

You promised yourself that you would give up on men after 26 failure's,

You promised your friends you were done,

You promised yourself that you wouldn't get hurt anymore,

You are too strong, too beautiful, too kind, too hard to break,

Yet you did,

Why would you do that to yourself,

You let him come into your life,

After so many painful memories you told yourself no,

But something about him was diffrent from all the rest and you never said that before,

You felt like you knew him for so long,

He reminded you or yourself,

He was so kind,

 He was so sweet,

He helped the homeless,

He was great at school and sports,

He cared for his sick mother,

He worked hard,

He made you feel special,

Special......

Like a princess,

No scratch that a queen,

He gave you everything you could ask for,

Love,

a gentle touch,

Laughter,

You got to hear his darkest stories,

He seemed perfectly perfect,

Yet he wasn't he was in pain,

He feared,

He didn't want you hurt,

He said he loved you,

soon after he told you he didn't want you,

He lead you on,

He wanted nothing with you,

This stung,

It hurt,

You gave him the best of you,

You cried for a while,

But you knew you did your best,

You never got over him but you forgave him,

For you have too kind of a heart to hate,

You knew you were perfect,

It was his lost,

He came back after a month,

Soon creeping back in your life,

As a bug coming back to life,

Feelings flooded in,

You have been strong for too long,

How could you say anything its been two months since you talked in person,

He tells you the ugly truth,

He loved you,

You were the best thing that ever happened to him,

His mother died,

Father became an acholic,

His sister became depressed,

He worked hard at work and at school,

You knew the feeling of lost,

You've lost your cousin who wasn't old enough to know the day of his birthday,

A week before he died,

Your family died with him,

Silence filled phone calls,

But time healed everyone,

How could you not understand,

You stood by him still,

Even though your hurt,

You still love him,

He doesn't need a lover,

He needs a friend,

That's why everything just,

Hurts.....
