Hurt Me

I was given the chance of life but you’re the one that hurt me. I was so young, happy, and free but you’re the one that hurt me. I trusted you with my heart but then you hurt me. I was shocked and sad at first because you were the one that hurt me. I was ashamed and kept a secret from my friends because you were the one that hurt me. I finally decided to tell others what happened even though you hurt me. I look at myself everyday and try to forget that you hurt me. I twist and turn at night and I still try to forget that you hurt me. I will eventually decide to move on but I will never forget that you hurt me. I am scared to be held and touched because of how you hurt me. I will never look at you the same way because of how you hurt me. I will never be the person I was before you hurt me.
