The Hurt You Bring

I stay locked in your embrace,

trapped in the love that traces your face.

But I cannot see through, to the true traces of you,

until you and I are totally through.

Below the love channels a river of hate;

it slips through the grates, no expression on your face.

And one day, maybe one day, I can escape

the hunt that you call your dreaded embrace.

I made this poem about me, in hopes that others may see a way out and take it, the same way I did.
