Hurting
We once faced this world of sunshine and rain
With no despair, anxiety, and distress
For the weather and climate is still sane,
Back then I used to be in my best dress
But now the bird cannot find its own nest
And the stars that used to shine are now dull
The sugar fields are now engulfed with pests
And the ship, now wrecked, was losing its hull
My love, why did you let go of my hand?
Do you not want a Hollywood ending?
Maybe this affair is a little bland
Or you just find joy in a heart that’s rending
