Hush
Baby steps and leaps of faith,
Movements I'll not wait to take.
In silent night, a wish I'll make:
Stay with me through sleep and wake.
The stars are far and fears are near,
Embrace me here and kiss my tears.
Breathe lulling whispers in my ear
And I shall wander peacefully.
In mind I swirl in deeper than deep,
Memories thin until they seep.
Dream is thought, and real is not,
Your world in wake, and mine in sleep.
The darkened wake, where pasts linger still,
Stalking and waiting on my window sill.
Sleep sews them closed, and tightens the seams,
From the shadow of my footsteps, I step into my dream...
