Hush baby girl
All I ever knew was my mom to be the devil
My grandma to be an angel saying
hush baby girl
Mommy's doin drugs, Daddy’s unknown, brother’s are bums
Grandma loving me more than anyone possibly could, singing,
hush baby girl
Flash forward sixteen years, regretting my grandma
Wishing mommy was around, wishing daddy was found, my brother’s are role models
Dreaming of that day when my grandma held me and said,
hush baby girl
All I was ever told grandma’s the devil, mommy is dead, daddy’s not real
My brother’s to be thieves and stoners but they continue to say
Hush baby girl,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Always left in last with tears choking me, and all i can say is,
hush baby girl
All I ever believed my past to be the devil, future to be an angel with the dream that
one day i will be on top of the world counting money, thanking grandma, my husband holding a little one of our own singing
Hush baby
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
But for now I will continue to listen to everyone singing
Hush baby girl
