Hydrangea

A little bundle of love

All wrapped in a big ball

Being held so tight and close

Sitting near the heart of mothers

And begging protection from caring fathers

Not so hard to plant but always requiring a lot of care

Killing animals that try to tear up the garden

And blocking passes to take you

Keeping you safe from harm

No matter how hard

A bundle of love

Growing freely

Always watched from afar

With so much attention you could drown

But you know that those that planted you mean the best

So they look out for what they’ve grown

Never interfering very much

Freely growing
