hypocrisy

How many times have these questions been asked?

Still no hope seems to have been found

Exaggerated cries for help

Are drained out by the rivers of laughter streaming in

Are you not tired of being the same?

Are you not weary of being?...

Far from destiny and close to death

Harsh words can no longer be submerged beneath the wings of grace

It outweighs the nonsensical things in life interwoven into the story of life

Troubled eyes hold on to the absence of truth

Tired mouths persist in proclaiming what they know not to be true

On and on and on goes the swaying of the palm trees

In and out goes the tide of the ocean

Here and there we seem to be lost

Lost in the ocean, hidden within the swaying of palm trees

Empty words thrown out in avoidance of their purpose

Ignorant of the times

Is it not time that we perceive?

Is it not time to understand?

That words are pretty in form…

Colorful with life, vibrant and bright

Still the heart has lost all connection with word’s splendor

We praise with rich and enticing words

Sentences, phrases, syllables held, buried, drenched in the withered frame of our wretched sinful hearts

It is easy to get carried away

We beg to be carried away

We plead to remain in a state of hypocrisy

Too  pretentious to make a change,

To silent to take a stance

With the exception of the loud and extraordinary pointing of our fingers
