Hypocrisy Is The Irony Within Us All

Who decides what is attractive

Who creates the walls that confine us to solitude

Fake love labeled as real and everlasting

Celebrities encourage self-hatred and bashing

We accept and conform because what option do we have

If we don't join the fad that boy won't like us back

"What can I change about myself to fit in"

To please everyone but ourselves is destined

We look for validation in people that are unsure of even themselves

We sit waiting for a new Kardashian to make a trend, but when

When will we step out of the box that we put ourselves in

I want to change how each and every man and woman views beauty

But it's hard to make a change when our mind's so rooted

Focus on self-love instead of self-hate

And maybe I can start making a difference one day
