I’d rather be covered in scars

wirh bad memories to keep me 

up at night

then have perfect skin

in a world full of perfect things

then, at least, I wouldn’t have to pretend 

i wouldnt have to pretend I’m not breaking inside

that I’m not waking up in a cold sweat every night

that I’m perfect

because im not

and I embrace it
