But I...

We live in a world of;

Corruption, injustice, and poverty

But I don’t slow down

We live in a world of;

Dishonesty, cries for help, and selfishness

But I don’t turn sour

We live in a world of;

School shootings, war, and abandonment

But I don’t lower my head

We live in a world of;

Pain, suffering, and disasters

But I don’t give up

We live in a world;

Where people don’t feel comfortable in their own skin and would rather take their own lives

Where people kill out of spite

Where people instigate violence rather than stop it

We all live in this world

But I am different

I stand out among the rest

These problems are my inspiration

Leaving me with the determination equivalent to a bulletproof vest

I may be small, but I believe I can help be America’s restoration
