I Am
I am a young women who has reached her high.
I am a student who has yet to say goodbye.
I am poet who has word spitting from my mouth in order for those around me to listen.
I am a speaker as my voice goes to its highest peak.
I am a nobody who is referred to as somebody, but I only hear another number.
I hear statistics, insolvent , and fully blown outrage.
How can anybody know who they are if you can't even hear your own name.
From the screams of the world as we all cry out for help.
No one has seem to grasp the fact that we are the ones that are destroying ourselves.
As people point accusing fingers at one another, the next generation has yet to find themselves. I have yet to find myself.
Who am I?
I am a student, speaker, poet, actress, singer, writer, and success.
For those who refer me as a statistic, deficient, deplorable , and abortive.
I suggest you find another because I am victorious!
I have yet to make myself whole, but I know that no one can put a number on me.
I am unique with a different color and mind.
I go against the the statistics and the rumors.
I don't join the current as my generation gets lost without a name to the face.
I push against the current and declare my name.
I may not know who i will be, and I may remember who I was, but I will always know who I am.
