I Am From

I am from warm summer days and the scented spice garden.

Enemies to friends and vengeance to pardon.

Heights to falls and city to city,

I am from chocolate coated strawberries and spite to pity.

I am from the mountains and joyful screams.

From chocolate cookies to sweet dreams.

Airplane rides to forest hikes,

I am from knee scrapes and blue bikes.

I am from amazing flexibility and flips.

Curly hair and shiny clips.

Tall towers to short tents,

I am from camp fires and a country accent.

I am from breezy beaches and the Lone Star State.

Caring people and the Golden Gate.

Dance competitions and cinnamon buns,

I am from Texas and being number one.
