I Am.....

I Am a curious African American woman!

Who often wonder

Are we born to die?

Or silence a babies cry?

Maybe I Am another Harriet Tubman

Or  I could just  be another curious African American woman.

I Am curious African American woman!

Who sometimes pretend to be another person,

Scared that the situation might worsen.

Sometimes I seek salvation in all the wrong places,

Misguided by all the smiling faces.

Dispite all of these flaws,

I Am proud to be a curious African American woman!
