I Am

Life is a big obstacle course

Hold on tight like riding a horse

I am strong, confident, with my head on right

I am funny, adventurous, with a mind so bright

I am from Alaska, the cold great land

The American flag we salute with our hand

One parent to raise me, sure was tough

Moving from school to school was definitely rough

But who I am today is because of my dad

The one who disciplined me when I was bad

He taught me my morals and from wrong to right

How to cherish my memories and hold them tight.

In the dictionary the word devoted is where I'll be

There it's more clearer so that everyone can see

You ask me who I am, how can I really say

I'm still learning that each and every day

All I know is I really want to go to school

So winning this scholarship would be super cool!
