I Am

I am not what I used to be

Who I will be is a mystery,

I'm the blink of an eye

the future is unpredictable ,

I can only learn from my history

I am not only my history

My life is full of complexity

My art, my voice, my music

Even though I may never use it,

It  takes away my misery

I have known my misery

It binds away my liberty,

but when the future looks low

and my achievements seem slow,

I smile back on the memories
