I am
I am
The shadow in the back
Dark, mysterious and cold
The disappearing thought that
Never crossed your mind
The small gust of wind
Brushing up against your cheeck
Blowing away your delicate tresses
The old dust bunny
In the corner
Underneath
The turmoil of the real world
Empy and untouched
I am
The person in the back
You don't bother to remember
Who doesn't speak a word
Not a mumble or a single phrase
Someone so small
Tip of a needle
In a population of boulders
A vanishing ember
A dying flower
Decaying in the open under the fire of the suns UV rays
Withering away
Longing for attention
Attention that's never going to come
Slowly rotting from the center
Loveless, unrequited, hopeless
So much potential energy and love
Willing to give, but no one
Willing to recieve
Craving for just one touch
Just a strange individual
With brightly colored hair
Rottting in the back
But no one bothers to help, they only stare
Slowly disappearing into oblivion
No one will remeber
None will recall
All the love I've poured
The light I shared
Life I've breathed
Take but never give
Never thank
Acknowledge or welcome
But I forgive
Because you need me more
Than I could ever need you
A bunch of protons and electrons
Molding into atoms forming into molecules
Molecules into elements
And slowly becoming
The unique
Outstanding soul inside a human
Dear
I'm the laugh you hear
While your alone
The voice you listen to
Deep in thought
The reflection that you spot
Stalking your every move
None the less
I
AM
YOU
