I am...

I am that little black girl in the corner

the one that is afraid to even mumble a word

all you hear from me is "present" when the attendance is called

everyday I arrive to school tardy, if I go

"why don't you ever come to school, and if you do you're tardy", they say

They will never understand me

The pain and the hurt that causes my heart to disintegrate daily

the times where I have to place my pillow in the dryer to dry up all the tears

my heart aches

betrayal

impurity

worthlessness

I want to change, but how?

I am a drug addict

Today's society is pitiful. Instead of helping people who are in need, we tend to make a mockery of them. Let's join hands and make a difference. Help your brother or sister in need!
