I am
I Am:
I am,
My father's daughter.
Drinking problems,
Anger issues,
And all.
I am
that little girl,
daddy's girl.
The girl waiting,
daddy come home.
I am
The girl with teary eyes
hiding behind a coach,
daddy please don't.
I am
that girl
too afraid of her shadow.
That girl,
with a bruised
and bloody upper lip.
I am,
that girl
screaming for her life.
Watching the police take daddy.
I am
that girl,
who learned she wasn't defined
by her daddy's mistakes.
I am that girl,
who forged her own path.
And I am
the girl,
Who took fate into her own hands.
I am
braver,
stronger,
and undefined by the past.
I am
the girl,
who took a stance.
