Shy and scared

I wonder

What I am destined for

I hear

Doubt in everything I say

I see

My future in the distance but I can never seem to reach it

I want

To become everything that is expected of me

I pretend

That everything is okay when in reality it's not

I feel

That my life is an empty existence

I touch

The life’s of family member but nobody else

I worry

That I’m just an unimportant person in a valley of existence

I cry

When my peers put me down

I am

I understand

That my life isn’t perfect

I say

that I will persevere through everyday life

I dream

That I will live up to my expectations of myself

To make life a good place when in reality it’s not
