I AM

I used to be a mountain

that no one else could move

i used to know just who i was

and exactly what to do

i used to love to learn

education was my life

then school became a burden

and people were just knives

I shut out all my family

my teachers and my friends

religion only weighed me down

the holes just wouldnt mend

my grades began to sink

my motivation left

i found my only solace

when i would eat or when i slept

they tell you that its hard

to really lose yourself

but i think that its harder

to try to get back up

but its what im doing

im getting back up

back up

back up
