I Am...

I Am me and only me but,

I Am what everyone expects me to be.

I Am expected to be an example for my younger siblings but,

who will be the example for me?

I Am expected to be greatness and achieve all things.

I am who God made me but, who my parents shaped me to be.

I am me and only me but,

the insecurities take over the one i am meant to be.

I am a broken hearted girl searching for her way, a new light to recovery, yes thats me.

But what am i suppose to be?

I am special, I am unique

I am someone who cares what everyone thinks about her,

I am the one who cries at the mere thought of not being good enough.

I dream of being a better me, through all the pain and regret in my sweat,

I am the only one who can write my happy ending, i say i will be somebody, but

I am me and only me.
