I Am
I am the bread and butter of the South,
The heaven of my own life,
I am the old and the new, for nothing new is in my life.
I am the apple of my parents' life, or at least I wish to be.
I am the love of my counterpart's life, whom loves me more than life itself.
I am the one who is cherished by one, and an omen to another, but all is well.
I am a single candle in a room of darkness,
The light unto one's path.
I am a traveler, one who has no purpose, and yet, seems to have all the purpose.
I am a daydreamer, who wakes not, and dreams in the future.
I am my own leader, who strives to make my own preferences.
I am the different, I represent the incommensurable, the divergent.
I am the fear of the common and the savior of the unorthodox
I am the one who is going to cause a change,
The one everyone wants dead,
The one to represent all women.
The one to prove that us women, we can change the world.
