I am..

I am..

I am my mothers spitting image
My daddy's little girl
A brunette, vibrant kid
from smile to bouncing brunette curls
But then one day things changed
Now..
I am..
The girl who wanted to fit in
And along the way got lost
Lost not just herself but her best friends
all she wanted to be in with the crowd
But now is breaking on the inside
Just not out loud.
Now..
 I am..
I am the girl who didn't give up.
No I didn't give up.
I fixed my past mistakes
So now mommy and daddy
Can say their little girl
believes again in love
not hate
From the ashes I arose
And brought my true self back to life
couldn't get back those friends,
But fought to make it right
I am now strong
I am now me
I am who I am
And that's now, all I ever want to be.
