I AM

I am from momma's bed, And books well read. From "I love you" shouted through halls, Where crayon scribbles covered the walls. I am from long car rides, Greeted by Nana's Brunswick stew, and the TV playing Scooby-Doo. Where I'm from trampolines were cool, For when you weren't in the pool, And once you pass the white fence, Turn left. Where I'm from "Are you on drugs?", Is a weekly occurence. Before I leave mom has to know, who what when and where I go. I am from High School Musical: One Two and Three, Interrupted by many "Shut up, Ainslies." I am from high expectations, Plus family frustrations, From donkey pens, And brownies tins. Where I'm from  poems like these, Go up on the fridge, And momma always has time, To love on her kids.
