I am

I know
Nothing
of who
I am

I am
a summation
of all
the experiences
the trials
the joys
and sorrow
the happiness
and pain

The brightest light
carries the longest shadow
The darkest berry
has the sweetest fruit
This broken soul
will fulfill it's dreams

I have
an idea
of who
I am

I am
happy
when the sun
hides

I am
sad
when the moon
shines

The smallest sprout
will create the strongest tree
Bone is stronger
once it has been broken

I may
be blind
but I am learning to see
I may
be strong
but I have been weak

I pick my teeth off of
smooth concrete
I wash the blood of
my face

I know
I have
An idea
of nothing
of who
I was

Today
I am.
