I AM

I Am….

Human

Female

A twin

A single organism broken up by my DNA.

Hundreds of tiny cells each creating my image.

My genetics creating an outer image for the world to judge.

To judge the shape of my lips

My eyes

My weight

The words of hate towards my appearance scarring

The words clinging to me as if they define who I am

I am more than spiteful words spoken out of the mouths of humanity

I am more than numbers on a scale.

More than tears shed over bitter words.

More than the opinion of a judgemental society .

I am the brightness in dark days.

The wild card in life.

I am a girl who takes big steps and doesn’t let anyone stop her.

Nothing stands in my way.

I am the girl whose laughter floods a room.

Whose smile brightens her loved ones day.

I am the girl who looks forward to life.

I am the author of my novel.

      The novel that tells of..

bullying….

devastation…

happiness….

love.

I am the girl who loves life and its many little gifts.

I carve my own path.

Make a name for myself.

I stand my ground against the bitter words and long painful days.

I am the sunshine in life.

This is my story.

My life.

This is me.
