I am..
I am a music note. I can be loud or soft; beautiful or discordant. Place me anywhere for a masterpiece to be created.
On paper a music note may seem to just be there not of much importance. But, when you bring a musical instrument to play that note you can hear its world unfold.
On paper my name may seem to just be there not of much importance. But, when I write my thoughts on the same paper you see my world unfold.
I can be quiet and soft spoken like a children’s lullaby on the piano; or loud and emphatic like a drum at a college football game.
When I am calm a symphony of violins seems to play as my background music, when I become distressed a loud frenzy of out of tune trumpets ensue.
When the pitch is in tune I can lure people in and put them in a daze, when not I can turn them away never wanting to return.
When you hear a song you do not think of all of the notes combined in it to give it that sound, when you look at me you may not see all of the things combined that make me, me.
Rather than the careful consideration of the pitch and rhythm of the song trying to be created, I think of the actions, and outcomes I am trying to create.
Rather than the sound being an outcome, I think of success as an outcome.
When two notes go along well you can hear the perfect harmony blending.
This is a feeling I love, finding people who I get along with so well that we seem to be in perfect harmony.
The length of a music note cannot go on forever, therefore you must achieve the sound you are aiming for at that moment.
My life too cannot go on forever, therefore I must achieve my goals within the time that I am given.
Of course whether I am sang, or played I can be off-key.
I may lose focus, or overthink myself into a frenzy of nerves.
But, like any great pianist or vocalist I brush myself off from whatever mishap that comes my way and bounce back even better than before.
While I can go flat, or be a little too sharp sometimes, I am a music note.
I may not be perfect at first but with diligence and knowledge I can be mended to create a perfect melody.
I am a music note. I can be loud or soft; beautiful or discordant. Place me anywhere for a masterpiece to be created.
