I Am...

I Am... I Am from a place of lies No individual is safe From the stereotypical accusations I Am NOT a liar, A cheater, nor a thief But I AM a scholar and an athlete With vanity petite Even though I come from rough beginnings MY finish line has come harder Harder than the streets that raised me But I Am better than that A millions times stronger, and smarter I’ve broken the barrier Cut through the walls Now, I Am, the unpredicted future
