I Am...

I am a high school senior. I wonder what my future will hold. I hear chants of encouragement as graduation nears. I see tassels, caps, and gowns walking in pairs down the football field anticpating the moment their name is called. I want the best for my classmates as we go our seperate ways and take on the real world. I pretend I'm the CEO of a big company awaiting future successes for my family and employees and and a life of gold. I feel the excitement but sadness of the goodbyes to be said before I'm gone. I touch my diploma thinking back to freshman year wishing I was done. I worry for the classes behind me that they won't enjoy it but stress their future in fear. I cry tears of joy knowing we're finally here. I understand the pressure my classmates and teachers put on me to succeed. I say thank you, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here. I am a high school senior and I will always hold these memories near.
