I am...

I am the seed and the motivation of a young immigrant couple

I am both mistake and blessing

I am their reason for seeing double

I am the redeemer of their sins

I'm supposed to turn their lossess into wins

My delicate hands tremble with the immensity of the word

I carry the gracious weight of being woman

I start to understand the people's fear of the world

I am no longer innocence, I am human

I place my bare feet in the soil of reality and struggle

Life drags me through the journey of experience

I can barely see the light outside the tunnel

I am the consistency of my perseverance to see the light

I am the laborer that has faith and falls in the hands of effort

I am in love with what is wrong and what is right

I am the heart that has been broken and mended countless times

I am the learner that has yet to fully learn who I truly am

I am the poet that is running out of rhymes
