I Am

I am many things. It depends on perspective, really. I am a gem, I am a nuisance, A shoulder to cry on, and a sobbing mess. I am surrounded by love, I am alone, I am a unique human being, I am data. I am a student, I am a mentor, I am regurgitated information, I am creativity personified. I’m sassy, outgoing, and crippled by anxiety, Backed into my corner where I’m somewhat safe. I know it all but I know nothing at all, and I’m tired. I’m drowning in my notes, in my responsibilities and my fear. In a year I won’t need parental consent, but still I feel That I’m just a kid. No matter where or when, however much I change, I am only human. That will stay the same.
