I Am....
I am ....
That's the thing I don't know
As I sit here and write this poem I try so hard to find myself
As a child I used to be happier, careless, and selfish
Throughout my past I've been blinded to the reality that my father never wanted me
Left even before I was born, don't even know if he remembers me
Feeling so distraught, life is surrounding me
I am...
A vessel with nothing inside of it
I guess its hard for me to admit it
Let my unfolding be silent like a startled cricket
Who Am I? Don't know just give it a minute
I am...
A writer, keeping my pen moving even when time stops
Keeping my mind wandering so that these words dont stop
Keeing my actions a secret so i keep some eye drops
Keeping everyone wondering who i am like the moment before the beat drops
Have to distract myself before my tears drop
I am a mystery to myself and others
I am a guide for all my lost brothers
I know the feeling, wanting to hide under the covers
Thorughout all this I still try to get out of the gutters
