I was shy, unknown, and scared.

People weren’t my thing and public speaking was a nightmare.

Spending time alone was my favorite pass time.

Then I left the country for a year.

A youth exchange program.

A chance to really find out about my strengths and weaknesses.

Find my fears and dreams.

New place, new friends, and new experiences.

I am happy, out-going, and energetic!

Public speaking has become a passion instead of a nightmare.

I have overcome some weaknesses and worked to better my strengths.

I have discovered my dreams and I’m working hard to make them come true.

I am a new person thanks to Rotary Youth Exchange.
