I am not an object.

I am not a stereotype.

I am not a possession.

I am not mindless.

I am not weak.

I am a person.

I am full of thoughts.

I am strong.

I am not what they say I am

Because I do not conform

And I refuse to be silent.

Because the contentment of a simple existence

Is not engrained in the fibres of my being.

Because I have found myself

In places I did not know I existed.

"What are you?"

I am.
