I Am

Distant

“Lost in her own world”

A constant loner

Surviving on hopes and dreams

that probably will never be

Melancholy

Living each day miserably

while hoping a joyful tomorrow will come

Holding in tears from the past

and flooding the world in the present

I was

I am

Better

Better than ever before

Constantly improving in every way possible

Smiling sincerely

at those who attempt to bring me down

Different

Mature and creative

Like unique autumn colors

or a late summer’s sunset

Pleasantly satisfying

Delightful

Lovely on the inside and out

Helping myself

as much as helping others

Shining brighter than all stars in the midnight sky

I am

Beautiful
