I AM FROM

I am from running shoes from adidas and saucony I am from the suburbs (quiet, lonely, it sounded so isolated) I am from the hibiscus the stem before it waiting to find its purpose in life. I’m from the wealthy and poor from mom and dad both good, not bad I’m from lawmakers and rule breakers from get an A! and who needs school? I’m from devoted Christian and constant doubts I’m from Rositas and Marquez beans and rice from the permanent loss a broken puzzle Inside my head are faces ones without a label as they slowly fade away so do their differences. I am that knot stuck between two ends unsure of where to pull separated by either side.
