I am...

I was born into prosperity

Followed by disparity

I lost my family when I was 8

And the tragedy sealed my fate

I dedicated myself to body and mind

Family friends were very kind

I was brought up by a man

Who taught me how I truly can

Fight the villains of my past

And create an impact that really lasts

Through the struggles of my life

I have only found bitter strife

I’ve fought so hard to become a better man

I feel I’ve done all I can

Through benevolence I’ve found myself

Helping others is my wealth

By day, I am a normal guy

At night, though, is when I fly

With the help of a boy in tights

I try to make the city right

The police are not my biggest fans

But that’s alright, cause I am Batman!
